We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications. This is a key role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality products.
1st shift
M-Thurs
5:30am-4:00pm
Pays $21.00 per/hr.
Duties:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate dimensions and angles
- Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines as needed
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge of press brake machines and tools
- Ability to perform quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met
