Job Description

Excel is hiring for CNC Operator in Owensville, MO

TEMP-TO-HIRE

Day shift

7am-3:30pm (Mandatory OT come in 1 hour earlier and stay 1 hour later)

Pay BOE

Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto the machine
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of the workpiece
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance

Experience:
- Proficiency in operating milling machines and using hand tools
- Strong knowledge of CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for programming CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles

Skills:
- Proficient in programming CNC machines using G-code or similar programming languages
- Ability to operate various types of CNC machines, including lathes, mills, or routers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
