Loan Officer:
The Loan Officer will oversee the process for loan applications, ensuring that information is collected properly, and that necessary financial information is on hand for efficient loan processing; administer the Correspondent Lending Program. Gathers HMDA data and prepares related reports.
Essential Functions:
Assist all walk-in or phone customers with loan information and/or completing a loan application.
Complete pre-qualification letters for customers upon request if qualifying requirements are met.
Run initial Loan Advisor AUS when pre-qualifications are requested.
Reviews applications received and request, any additional information required to put loan on our loan origination system.
Maintains open dialogue with applicants during the processing and closing of their loan.
Act as a liaison between the loan processing department and branches for loans in process
Assist branches with questions and customers requesting loan information.
Gather HMDA data and prepare related reports.
Update Loan Origination System (LOS); submits change requests.
Upload daily rates; prepare weekly rate sheets.
Assist the Residential Lending Manager with projects as required.
Prepare various reports as required.
Maintains declined/withdrawn files.
Maintain pipeline of loans including lock management of loans to be sold and selling of loans to FHLMC and any other lenders as required either on a loan-by-loan basis or bulk purchase.
Register all loans received from correspondent lenders.
Maintain pipeline of loans purchased and purchasing of loans from correspondent lenders as required.
Act as a liaison between correspondent lenders and underwriting department
Maintain compliance while performing all job functions.
Other job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years mortgage customer service experience required.
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and programs including Loan Prospector and loan tracking systems.
National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) required.
Knowledge of FHLMC guidelines
Working knowledge of lending regulations, financial institution products and services required.
Strong customer service skills
Must be detailed oriented.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
Salary range: up to $70,000 - $80,000
M-F 8-4 or 8:30-4:30 or 9-5
