Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring precision and quality in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
  • Set up machines (e.g. lathes, mills, grinders) to produce parts within tolerances
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery
  • Troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Ability to use precision tools and equipment
  • Good physical condition and strength to lift heavy materials
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
