Duties:
- Perform MIG welding on various metal components and structures
- Operate power tools, such as grinders and drills, to prepare materials for welding
- Use pipe threading machines to create threaded connections
- Assist with machining tasks, such as cutting and shaping metal pieces
- Operate a press brake machine to bend metal sheets into desired shapes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and codes standards to ensure accurate welding specifications
- Rig and secure materials for welding using clamps, jigs, and fixtures
- Perform basic math calculations to measure and align components accurately
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar role
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques and equipment operation
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe usage
- Knowledge of pipe threading processes
- Ability to operate machining equipment for metal preparation
- Competence in using a press brake machine for metal bending
- Strong blueprint reading skills to understand welding specifications
- Understanding of schematics and codes standards related to welding
- Ability to rig and secure materials for welding using appropriate tools and techniques
- Basic math skills for measurements and alignment
