Excel is currently hiring a Shear Operator in Fenton, MO.
TEMP-TO-HIRE
Day Shift
Mon - Thursday
5:30am-4:00pm with opportunities of OT
Pays $22.00/per hr. to start.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain various types of machinery and equipment
- Set up machines according to specifications and blueprints
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with lathe, sheet metal, micrometer, plasma cutting, and welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication
- Knowledge of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines is a plus
- Strong mathematical skills for performing basic calculations and measurements
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles
