Excel is currently hiring for an Experienced Welder with black iron experience.
Hours
Day Shift
Monday- Thursday
5:30am-4:00pm With opportunities for OT
Pay Is $25.00/hr and up B.O.E
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities we are looking for:
- Join appropriate metals to specifications.
- Prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assembly.
- Interpret specifications and blueprints accurately.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Regular cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
- Operate cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites.
- Work with various power tools.
- Determining machine settings.
- Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
- Communicate with the plant manager or supervisor, report any issues, and make suggestions for improvement.
- Experience with black iron and stainless steel welding techniques
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of welding experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a Fillet Welds- (1F) test.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. Will train.
- Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
- Please note that this job requires experience in welding. We are looking for candidates who have a strong background in welding techniques and can demonstrate their skills through previous work experience or certifications.
